Project Description

Otium team members partnered Peddle Thorp Walker Architects in the worldwide design competition for design of the 2008 Olympic Swimming Centre. The group, in association with a large range of specialist consultants, won the design competition and worked together to deliver the Olympic facility on time and on budget. Otium team members were involved in facility scope and return briefs and also developing the future legacy concepts which included redeveloping a section of the pool hall and spectator seats with a new indoor water/leisure park. The facility is now Asia’s second most used indoor water park and this use fits well with its use as a major water sports events centre.
