Industry and Community Support

Supporting our Industry

Otium staff have a deep engagement with the sport and leisure industry through volunteer work, memberships on boards, and regular support for professional development events.   Our team members maintain membership in several professional organisations and are actively engaged to support industry advocacy, effective and relevant research and industry development.

We are willing contributors to industry organisations. Director Marty Lambert and Senior Associate Mike King have both had a long-term involvement with Parks and Leisure Australia having previously served as National Presidents.   Senior Consultant Tony Butler is the current President of PLA Queensland.

We also sponsor the PLA Emerging Leader Award to support and promote the development of our future leaders.

Many of our senior staff also donate their time to support industry events and conferences presenting on a range of topics or supporting the development of programs.

Supporting our Communities

Otium offices and staff are active members of their local communities.  Many of our staff volunteer at local sports clubs or associations to assist coaching, management or support club development.

We also have a commitment to support a range of charities and each year provide a larger donation to a charity.

Charities we have supported include:
