Project Description
Otium was appointed by Redland City Council to prepare a Active Recreation and Sports Facilities Action Plan, in order to:
- Build upon the OSS principles, providing up-to-date evidence to inform future planning, prioritisation and timing of sport and recreation infrastructure/ asset management in Redland City.
- Assist Council to increase the participation rates of residents in community sport and recreation, particularly in groups that are currently underrepresented as participants (such as older adults, women and girls and island communities).
- Develop a prioritised provision list that is financially achievable and sustainable to guide the development and activation of new and existing sport and recreation facilities to meet these needs.
