Our growing business has required new staff to complement our expertise, and we are pleased to introduce our new team members.
Following the decision by David Mason to step down as a Director, fellow Brisbane team member Jason Leslie became Otium’s new Director on 1 July. In taking on the new role, Jason says “I’m very excited to be offered the role of Director at a time of growth for Otium Planning Group, which is aimed at positioning the company to better respond to client needs and challenges facing the leisure industry. I intend maintaining the legacy that David has created over many years and look forward to continuing to work with our clients to ensure quality outcomes. I very much enjoy being a member of and working with the Otium team and I’m extremely grateful to Kate, Mike and Marty for their tremendous assistance to me in transitioning into this new role”.
Ben Bainbridge, who joined Otium’s Melbourne office last year bringing extensive experience in state and local government, has been promoted to Associate. Lauren Close is our new senior consultant in the Melbourne office. Lauren has come from a strong background in sport and local government and joined Otium earlier this year.
In NSW, we have recently welcomed Yvette Audet as Senior Consultant. She joins the Otium team with a vast range of experience across the sport and recreation industry where she worked for private sector clients, in local government and non-profit organisations.
Former staff member Simon Haire has taken a position with the NSW State Government in the delivery of school asset planning and joint use projects. Otium would like to congratulate Simon on the many projects he has completed with us and we wish him well in the next phase of his career.
In our Queensland offices, we have also welcomed Amy Strong (Brisbane) and Adrian Gover (Cairns) to the team to provide administration and project support to those offices.
