Otium Planning Group Pty Ltd welcomes the 13 April announcement by Premier Daniel Andrews and Minister for Sport John Eren confirming it will commit $10 million to assist in developing the home of Melbourne Victory’s W-League as well as its Academy squads.
The facilities, which will be located at Maribyrnong’s Footscray Park and Robert Barrett Reserve will provide the club’s women’s and Academy programs with world class training and playing facilities less than 5km from the Melbourne CBD.
The project directly contributes to meeting demand for increased participation in football at all levels, expanding female participation in football, building better communities, social networks and healthy civic activity and increasing liveability in the Western Metropolitan Region.
